   The Beacon Missionary Baptist Church is thrilled to announce that Camp Silver Spur 2008 is absolutely free for campers due to the Beacon Church voting to completely underwrite Camp 2008.

   That's right, Camp 2008 is completely free for campers and workers wishing to attend and especially for those you invite.  Knowing that we would most likely struggle to make camp happen at all this year we went out on faith and voted to pay for Camp in full.  We knew even before the vote that God supported us because of how successful the previous year's camp had been.  24 souls being saved doesn't just happen because we put on a camp, it happens because the Trinity was behind us 100%.  As if to assure and remind us that He is in favor of camp, no more than days after sending out the letter announcing our decision we received a $10,000 donation!  Praise God!!!

   This could only have happened with God's love and support.  Please remember to keep the Beacon Church in prayer as we endeavor to make Camp 2008 the most successful, uplifting, and exciting camp yet!
